the world is loud. and busy. and my kids are getting really, really big.

but in all of that, i still love to slow down and play a game. bonus points if the game is cute.

i can't be the only one. so if you're looking for small ways to sit down together, this is the mail club for that.

i know it's really not all fun & games out there, but for twenty minutes at the kitchen table, we can pretend that it is.

every month, learn a new-old game with me. sit down with your kids, a pencil, and some old school newspaper puzzles. get a card to tuck into your bag to make your next long wait a little more fun.

what's inside each FUN & GAMES envelope

each month starts with your fun+games newspaper, with the game of the month's rules and history plus a full page of classic puzzles, riddles, and more newspapery fun. also tucked into your envelope are:

a 5×7 game board/art print
a new folk game each month, art on the back
a waiting game rules card
a pencil and paper game you can play anywhere
a themed punch card
a small challenge to work through together all month
a strip of three activity tickets
cut and use when you need something fun to do

your first month also includes the game pieces you'll use with every board after that. sent first class with a real stamp and no tracking — slower, more intentional, and a better surprise when it arrives.

FAQ
what age is this for?
i designed this as something for kids and their grown-ups to do together, and 7 is a good starting age. younger kids who love games can be helped along, and grown-ups looking for some analog fun don't need a kid at all.
do we need anything else to play?
the game of the month includes everything you need — the board, the pieces (which arrive month one), and the rules in your newspaper. beyond that, just a pencil for the puzzles, and a scrap of paper for the waiting games.
when does the first envelope ship?
orders close on the 28th of the month and envelopes will ship the following week. joining the waitlist gets you first notice when subscriptions open, and nothing else — no charge, no commitment, and i won't email you about anything but this.
do you ship outside the US?
not yet. right now it's US-only while i figure out postage. if you're elsewhere, join the waitlist anyway and i'll let you know if international shipping changes or if i decide to offer a digital version.
can i gift a subscription?
yes! this is definitely a great gift. send me an email at hello@ohlittlewren.com after you subscribe and i'll set up the recipient's address and a gift note. they'll get a note in their first envelope letting them know who sent it.
what's your shipping policy?
i can't refund an order that's already shipped — but if yours arrives damaged or never shows up, contact me at hello@ohlittlewren.com within 30 days and i'll replace it. postal scuffs are part of real mail.
when does my subscription renew?
your subscription will renew each month on the same date that you subscribed. so if you subscribed on the 10th, you'll be charged for the next month on the 10th. cancel anytime before your next charge.
can i purchase back issues?
yes! if you joined the club late and want to catch up, or just want to purchase a one-time gift of a previous issue without a subscription, visit the club extras shop linked at the bottom of this page. past issues are available while supplies last.
